Yes. X-rays can range in price from $35 - $250.

Do you take my insurance?

We are a preferred provider for the following insurance plans:  Medicare, Railroad Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Beech Street, CCN, Cigna, EBMS, Fortis, Health Infonet, Healthcare Management Administration, Humana, Intermountain Administration, Interwest, John Alden, New West, Wausau, and Three Rivers.

We do our best to keep this list up to date, but if your insurance company is not listed above, you can still check with the insurance office.  We do add new networks from time to time. If your provider pays out of network we will submit your insurance for you.

Do you adjust on the first visit?

Dr. Mitchell will adjust you if it is clinically necessary on the first visit.

Do you factor time for paperwork into the appointment time?

We do allow time for paperwork in your scheduled appointment time, so you do not have to come early.

Do you adjust children?

Yes!  It is much easier to grow a healthy child than fix a damaged adult! Chiropractic has been shown to help many childhood problems, from ear infections to colic and many many others. Although Chiropractic is not a treatment for those problems, a properly functioning nerve system is necessary for the body to heal itself of those conditions.

What should I expect at the first visit? How long will the visit be? How long will I wait to be seen?

Your first visit is designed for Dr. Mitchell to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will you meet your goals.

Step 1 – Upon entering our office, our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family.  You will be asked to complete a New Patient Health History form that will allow us to uncover previous and current health challenges as well as get an overview of your lifestyle.  The form is located in the New Patient Center of our website.

Step 2 – After completing your paper work, you will watch a brief and powerful video that will explain in more detail what Dr. Mitchell will be looking for in your health evaluation and assessment.

Step 3 - You will have a consultation with Dr. Mitchell to review your health history form and gather any additional information we’ll need to address your current health problems and concerns.

Step 4 – You will receive a state of the art Neuro-Spinal Scan to detect and pinpoint abnormal function in the spine.  Abnormal spinal function causes abnormal nervous system disturbance.  The scan will measure how well the motor nerves are working, evaluate imbalances in the muscles, and find out how your autonomic nervous system (organ/gland function) is working.  The scans will allow us to detect interferences that you aren’t even feeling – because only 10% of the nervous system perceives pain.  This technology is certified by the Space Foundation and has been used on NASA 2 shuttle missions to evaluate the impact of space on astronauts’ nervous systems.

Step 5 – Dr. Mitchell will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend, and other standard neurologic, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Step 6 - Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays; these help us rule out more serious conditions, detect subluxation decay (arthritis) in the spine, and assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.  Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

All of this takes about an hour out of your day.

It is very important for us that you understand the findings of your exam.  On your second visit Dr. Mitchell will give you a report of findings to answer the three most common questions:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How much is it going to cost?

If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If Dr. Mitchell believes we can help you, he will recommend treatment and a wellness program.

Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the appointment.

Why Pro-Adjuster instead of snap, crackle, pop?

The Pro-Adjuster is a computerized instrument that uses vibration to unlock your vertebrae. Once the joint unlocks, the computer shuts itself off, so we never over adjust you, under adjust you, or have to twist you into a pretzel to adjust you. It’s a less invasive way to get an adjustment.

Can I still be seen if I’m sick?

If you're a new patient coming in for the first time, we recommend waiting until you feel better.  Being ill at the time of your exam may skew our findings.  However, if you are a current patient, we absolutely recommend coming in when you aren't feeling up to par.  A misalignment in your spine irritates your nervous system, which results in overall disharmony and malfunction. There are case histories of people recovering from nearly every known disease and condition under chiropractic care: heart trouble, hyperactivity, ear infections, fatigue, allergies, digestive problems, colds, flu, and hundreds of other conditions.

What are my payment options?

Pay By Visit - Paying by visit affords you the ability to pay at the time service is rendered.   There is no saving on the regular fee; however, this option is convenient for someone who doesn’t want to set up a payment plan.

Pre-Pay in Advance - Save 20% - Patients on a corrective care program may wish to save money by pre-paying for 12 visits and a re-exam in advance. If you pre-pay in this way, instead of paying $750 for 12 visits and a re-exam, the charge would be $600. This option is for cash patients only, as we already write off a contracted amount for each insurance company.

Special Fee Arrangement - The special fee agreement is a plan for patients who wish to pay a set monthly fee. This gives you the payment options to afford corrective care and wellness care with no or limited health insurance. Payments will be agreed upon by you and Dr. Mitchell and will be applied toward account balance each month. This option may be paid with credit card, debt card, or ACH (Automated Clearing House / Automatic withdrawal).
